LA MIRADA, CALIF. — Biola University’s year-long Celebration of Arts and Media, a series of events, symposiums and performances meant to honor the arts on campus, is in full swing. The university has gone to great lengths to create a valuable space where students can showcase their performing arts skills. After having to postpone and cancel many productions and recitals due to the pandemic, students are able to experience performing for a live audience on stage at last.
Biola’s School of Fine Arts and Communications Conservatory of Music, which holds Biola’s music and theater programs, is excited to showcase student talent. Faculty, students and the general public are invited to enjoy the following performances on campus:
Biola Theatre 21 Events:
- Eurydice: April 1,2, 7–9 (7:30–9:30 p.m.), April 3,10 (2:30–4:30 p.m.). A twist on the myth of Orpheus. Parental discretion is advised.
- Jazz Ensemble Concert: April 1 (7:30–9 p.m.). Students will showcase an array of jazz favorites.
- Annual POPS Concert: April 23 (7:30–9 p.m.). An experience put together by students to introduce an exciting night of music.
- Major Works Concert: April 29,30 (7:30–9 p.m.). A two-night event showcasing the talents of those in the Conservatory of Music.
